Dohyun Im, Ph.D.

林 到炫(いむ どひょん)

Principal Investigator

Dr. Im is a structural biologist specializing in the structure and function of membrane proteins. He employs state-of-the-art structural biology approaches to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of GPCRs and transporters. Through these studies, he aims to understand the regulatory mechanisms of synaptic terminals mediated by membrane proteins.

Research Interests

Dr. Im’s research program aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of membrane proteins, particularly G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) and transporters. By integrating advanced structural and functional analyses, his laboratory seeks to uncover the molecular principles governing membrane protein regulation and to translate high-resolution structural insights into rational drug discovery strategies.The laboratory employs the following approaches:
