Tamura Masakazu's father, Bando Tsumasaburo, was also a famous actor.
Masakazu made his debut with the movie "Eternal Woman" in 1961. After that, he performed some works like "Love in this year", and he became a sought-after actor.
Since 1966, he became a free-lance actor, and has attained popularity more and more on TV. Many people know the famous TV programs "A Journey in Winter", "Nemurikyoshiro", and a lot of other dramas.
