SPEED is a girl group which dances as a unit. It consists of four young girls. All members are from the Okinawa actors' school which train a singer or dancer in Naha City, Okinawa.

In 1996, they released their debut single "Body & Soul" as a commercial song. And their second single "Steady" was chosen as the theme of TV drama, and made big hit.

In 1997, their third single "Go. Go. Heaven" went to No.1 on the Oricon chart. Then they released their first album "Starting Over" and performed in their first concert. And then, they released their fourth single "Wake Me Up" and fifth single "White Love".

Also, they appeared on some TV commercial with their hit song and the TV program "The Yoru mo hippare" and the radio program "Hai SPEED de ikou" And at the same time, they released their photographs taken by the famous photographer "Tenmei Kanou".

In 1998, they were released their 6th single "My Graduation" which was a TV commercial song. And they released their 1st video clip "Speed spirits". And they released their 2nd album "RISE". In this summer, they will play the leading parts in the move "Androbedia". And they will release their 7th single "Alive".

Now, their are very popular with young people. And they keep developing their activities as popular group.
