Sakurai Kazutoshi is the vocalist of the group, "Mr. Children". Their songs' style and sounds are similar to that of the Beetles. However, the listeners of Mr. Children couldn't understand the Beatles. He almost makes their musics and writes the words. Their refined voices made their group famous, and a few millions of records have been sold. They won the Japanese Golden Disk Prize in 1995 and 1997.

In 1995, he made a song with Keisuke Kuwata for the campaign against AIDS.

In 1995, Mr. Sakurai had a radio program, "Music Gambo" on the "FM802". It was a music program, and he was disc jockey. The program was popular, because his jokes and stories are very interesting. The end of the year, it finished, because he and his members of the band left Japan to make a new records. On July 24, 1996, new records, "Sinkai" will be released after more than one and a half years interval. There are many nice songs in the record. It is well worth listening to!

His band decided to have a long vacation. Their new single which was sold after that has sold well. But they haven't appeared on stage.
