Matsuda Seiko

Matsuda Seiko is a Japanese pop singer who made her debut when she was18 years old (in 1980) with the song "Aoi Sangosho." Then she leaped into fame in no time, and every time her new song was released, it became very popular among boys and girls, and was sold like crazy. This is why, she got the grand prize awarded to the best new singer of that year.

The next year, she tried her first movie "Nogiku no Haka" in which she performed well. Then 2 years later, she appeared in "Purumeria no Densetsu." Also she acted well in "Natsufuku no Eve."

However, it was not only as a singer or an actress that she played active parts, but also as a writer. Her first work is "Yume de Aetara" in 1982, and the second one is "Seiko."

In her private life, she has been married to Kanda Masaki, who is a Japanese actor, for several years. When they got married, they made a wedding ceremony of 2 hundred million yen; approximately $2,000,000! These days she is living a full life as a mother of a daughter they had when she was 24 years old. However, there is always some constant love gossips about her, which makes her and her family angry.

Last year (1995), she released the CD "It's style 95'" which includes the songs "Suteki ni Once Again" and "Kagayaita Kisetsue Tabidato". And some poems in this CD were written by herself, so they sound very nice with her cute voice that hasn't changed since her debut.

This year, she has released the song "Anata ni Aitakute" written by herself. It is used as a CM (tv commercial) song. Also, she is appearing in an American movie now.
