LUNA SEA is Japanese famous visual rock band. Visual rock is the liveliest music style in Japan. Visual rock was originated by X JAPAN. LUNA SEA started as LUNACY, and later changed their name to LUNA SEA. They released their first album from Ecstasy record in 1991. The album was produced by YOSHIKI, the leader of X JAPAN.

In 1992, they released their second album from MCA VICTOR. This album was their major debut. Sales of it reached ninth on the Orikon chart. In 1993, their fan club SLAVE had been set up, and they released their long awaited first single. At last, they did a concert at Nihon Budoukan. In 1994, their third single went to No.1 on the Orikon chart for the first time. In 1995, they did the largest scale concert tour in history. Live in Tokyo Dome had 50,000 in the audience. In 1996, they did Christmas live in YOKOHAMA STADIUM.

In 1997, the members started solo action as well. Last winter, they released their first "best album". In April 1998, the band reformed and their first single was released. Immediately, it got Orikon chart No.1 the first week. This summer, they released their sixth album. August 9 and 10, they did a live concert Manatsunoyagai.

Now they are doing concert tour until September, 1999. We hope for more activity from them in the future.
