A life of Asuka Ryo started from 2650grams. People who knew him in those days said that they saw him as a weak child, but gradually he grew with a clear purpose. When he was five years old, he started to go an organ school. Then he became interested in the music. He continued to have music activities in his school life. In his second year of high school, he met his partner, CHAGE. In 1979, he made his debut with CHAGE and they called the group CHAGE and Aska. He wrote all of their music and lyrics, and sometimes he wrote for the other singers. For example, he wrote for Hikaru Genji, Takahashi Mariko, Nakae Yuri and so on. He has many hits, but it is possible to say that the most famous and the best hit is "Hajimariha itsumo ame", 1991. Now he continues to sing and to write music and lyrics. It is needless to say that he is one of the greatest singers and writers in Japan.
