Take Yutaka is one of the most famous jockeys in Japan. He is one of the children of Take Kunihiko, who was also a famous jockey and is now known as a horse trainer. Take Yutaka longed to become a jockey, so he went to a jockey school in Chiba. He became a jockey on March 1987 at last.
In April 1987 he won his first race. In the same year he won the rookie prize. Since then he has won one race after another.
In 1991 he won one of the G1, the highest class races, in America a first for a Japanese. Some of the famous horses he has ridden are: Super Creek, Inari One, Oguri Cap, and Mejiro Mcqueen.
In his private life, he got married to Sano Ryoko, a Japanese actress, in 1995. The kindness which we can see when he pats his horse after running a race also brought him a beautiful bride.
