He comes from Hyogo prefecture. He graduated from Kyoto University. At first he became a math teacher. Next he worked at Tenri University. After that he went to the U.S and Switzerland to study. At that time he got a license in Jungian analysis.
It was the first time for a Japanese. Then he came back to Japan and he tried to spread Jungian analysis. At the same time , he developed psychology.
At present , he is 72 years old. He is famous as a scholar of clinical psychology in Japan. He is studying the myths and religions of Japan to study Japanese's mind compared with American(IU(Bs mind. He also keeps lecturing about it all over the world. He also wrote many books and published them. He got rewards.
Now, he is the director of International Japan Cultural Study Center. Also he sometimes gives a lecture in many places and appears on TV.
