N.B. Dr Smith's speech to the general audience will be in Kyoto on the 13th December.
The conference will be held in Okayama on the 14th and 15th December and in Kyoto on the 16th and 17th December (Dr Smith's keynote speech will be on the 16th December).
It takes about an hour and a half between Okayama and Kyoto by train, and the train fare is about 8000 yen.
