From The Editor

Greetings,

We are especially proud of this issue, and its strong focus on teaching. Our first lead article and our Forum delve into the issues of good teaching, and what it means to teach.

The Forum, in fact, now has a new Editor, Harold Smith, Professor of ESL & TESOL at Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia. We are pleased that Harold has joined us, and look forward to exciting Forum columns. We thank Janet Sutherland for her work as Forum Editor for the past five years.

In addition, we have added a new section: "Classroom Focus." In this issue, Dr. Yisa Kehinde Yusuf discusses teaching practices in a Nigerian English composition classroom. If you have a submission for this new section, please see the submissions guidelines.

We are also happy to welcome a new member to our Editorial Board, Gwendolyn Gong, Professor in the Department of English at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin. I knew Gwen when we were both faculty members in the English Department at Texas A&M University, and am pleased to be back in contact with her. I am especially pleased that we will have her expertise on our Editorial Board.

As mentioned in the last issue, our mailing list has moved. Please see our subscription information if you would like notices about new issues of the journal. This is an announcement-only list.

We hope you enjoy Issue 4.2, and appreciate your continued support.

Best,

Maggie Sokolik
