In Japan, "Saodake" means "Bamboo pole". For example, they use it for "broom sticks" to whip tea or to make baskets and so on. So, we have many bamboo articles in our life. We have not only "Bamboo pole" or "Bamboo broom" but "Bamboo curtains" ("Sudare"). That is why, "Bamboo" is very important in Japanese life. |
